NEPSE Gains 0.94 Points and Creates New All-Time High; Hydropower Sector Gains 3.92%

The NEPSE index closed at 3,162.59 today after gaining 0.94 points from the all-time high created yesterday. Thus, this is the highest index-closing in the history of Nepal's capital market.

The index opened at 3,172.54 and made the intraday high at 3,197. While it went as low as 3,158.73, it ultimately closed at 3,162.59. The float index is at 221.44 after gaining 0.11 points while the Sensitive index is at 585.71 after losing 2.38 points.

A total of 27,298,624 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 15.455 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday's figure of Rs. 17.846 Arba. 230 scrips traded hands via 139,218 transactions.

Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Limited (UPPER) had the highest turnover of Rs. 68.07 crore closing at a market price of Rs. 902 per share. The shares of Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited (AHPC) traded the most.

A total of 7 scrips have technically gained 10% today, which is the highest permissible intraday gain for a scrip. On the other side of things, Janaki Finance Company Limited (JFL) lost the most 3.74%.



Five sectors gained while eight others closed green. Hydropower gained an impressive 3.92% while Trading lost the most 1.25%.
