NEPSE GAINED 4.05 POINTS

Fuelled by the raise in most of the traded scrips today, the secondary market came to witness incline of 4.05 points. Following the gain, the market index settled at 848.47 level.
Among the 135 scrips traded today, 77 scrips increased, 16 scrips remained intact and only 42 scrips suffered loss. Attributed by such high incline ratio, the benchmark index for most of the trading session hover on the green terrain today.
Kankai Bikas Bank Ltd.(KNBL), closed at 165, was the top performer today with gain of Rs 15 or 9.93 percent whereas Cosmos Development Bank Limited (CSDBL), closed at Rs 127, was the worst performer with loss of Rs 14 or 9.93 percent.
Similarly, the rise in the Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited, which has the highest market capitalization, played a constructive role in today’s surge. The share increased by Rs 8 today, which helped to propel the Others sector by 10.57 points.
Likewise, Banking sector also witnessed growth of 2.26 points following incline ratio of 1.45 among 38 traded banking scrips. In addition, Development and Finance also increased by 1.87 points and 2.51 points respectively.
As for remaining sub-groups, Hotels, Insurance and Hydro made increment of 21.27 points, 6.45 points and 7.37 points respectively. While, Manufacturing was the only sub-index to suffer loss today, it dropped by 14.73 points.
The company that had the highest turnover in today’s session was Chilime Hydro power Co. (CHCL), closed at 2020, with a massive trading of 30,883 units through 211 transactions worth of Rs 61,803,848.
The Broker with the highest transaction of CHCL was Broker No 35 (Kohinoor Investment and Securities Pvt.Ltd) with 14.93 percent standalone dealing, totaling 9,220 units worth Rs 18,458,420 via 29 selling transactions.
The market turnover today stood at 378,378,965, with total number of shares traded at 894,907 units which were traded through 2,839 transactions. The market capitalization at the end of the day stood at Rs 865,522.30 Millions.
