Part 1: Rundown and Technical Analysis

This week, NEPSE index traded for four days only as Monday was a holiday. The Index closed at 2,155.82 after gaining 66.83 points (3.20%). The index closed at 2,088.99 last week, gaining 1.94% from the previous week.

This week, the index went as high as 2,215.29 and as low as 2,093.46 hence witnessing volatility of 121.83 points. The index had seen volatility of 96.3 points in the previous week.

The highest intraday gain was 54.55 points on Tuesday with a turnover of Rs 8.02 Arba, however, the total turnover stood at Rs 31.41 Arba this week.

 

Momentum Indicators

The RSI reading on the daily timeframe is 67.76. Meanwhile, the RSI reading on the weekly chart is 62.71.

On the other side, the MACD and Signal lines are both in the positive zone, i.e., above zero with the MACD reading at 47.70.

Nepse Index is above its 5-day Moving Average and 20-day Moving Average. This is a bullish signal but requires further confirmation.

2,080 zone may act as the nearest support whereas, the 2,250 zone will act as resistance.

Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) is the top gainer. HRL closed at Rs. 653 with an Rs. 200.40 (44.28%) increment.

Mid Solu Hydropower Company Limited (MSHL) price has decreased by 9.07% and its LTP stands at Rs. 510.10.
