 Part 1: Rundown and Technical Analysis

This week, NEPSE index closed at 1,860.20 after gaining 8.12 points (0.44%). The index closed at 1,850.08 last week with a gain of 0.24% from the previous week.

This week, the index went as high as 1,872.64 and as low as 1816.68 hence witnessing volatility of 55.96 points. The index had seen volatility of 50.98 points in the previous week.

The highest intraday loss was 20.68 points on Wednesday with a turnover of Rs 1.08 Arba, however, the total turnover stood at Rs 4.48 Arba this week.

 

Momentum Indicators

The RSI reading on the daily timeframe is 43.84. Meanwhile, the RSI reading on the weekly chart is 40.47.

On the other side, the MACD line and Signal line both are in the negative zone, i.e. below zero but the signal line has crossed the MACD line and the MACD line is below the signal line in the daily timeframe with the MACD reading at -25.53.

Nepse Index is below both its 5-day Moving Average and its 20-day Moving Average. This is a bearish signal but requires further confirmation.

1,807 – 1,837 zone may act as the nearest support whereas, the 1,925 – 1,945 zone will act as resistance.

Three Star Hydropower Limited (TSHL) is the top gainer. TSHL closed at Rs. 381.10 with an Rs. 72.40 (23.45%) increment.

Prime Commercial Bank Limited Promoter Share (PCBLP) price has decreased by 15.34% and its LTP stands at Rs. 122.
