NEPSE FURTHER DROPS BY 2.12 POITNS

Market continued to slide in the red terrain today also. Investors are currently embarking along the liquidating path so as to book profit raised from the previous two weeks market surge.
With the swarming of the profit bookers in the secondary market, the local bourse hasn’t been able to make further progress despite of high presence of buyers in the market.
The Nepse index today further dropped by 2.12 points to close at 548.17 levels.
Among the sub-indices, Hydro tumbled by 14.19 points followed by Banking with 3.2 points decline and Development with 1.92 points fall.
While, Insurance made a leap of 3.95 points alongside 2.84 points growth of Hotels, 1.18 points jump of Others and 0.49 points gain of Finance sector.
In other news related to Banking sectors, Citizens Bank International Ltd. has proposed 15% cash dividend to its shareholders which need to be approved by NRB and its upcoming AGM.
Similarly in Finance sector, Om Finance has decided to provide 20 percent bonus shares and 1 percent cash dividend which has been approved by NRB but need to be endorsed by its upcoming AGM.
All in all, the scrips of 111 companies were traded, out of which 30 scrips gained, 17 remained intact and 64 scrips lost.
The best performers for the day was, Himalayan Gen.Insu. Co.Ltd. (HGI), closed at Rs 402, with Rs 36 or 9.84% gain. Whereas, Shine Resunga Development Bank Ltd. (SHINE), closed at Rs 216, was the top loser with Rs 23 or 9.62% loss.
The highest share traded and turnover in today’s market was of NABIL Bank Limited Promotor Share (NABILP), closed at Rs 1120, totaling units worth Rs 193,739,330, in which transaction worth Rs 188,922,830 was carried out by block transfer.
In case of the general trading, Kumari Bank Ltd (KBL), closed at Rs 312, topped in all turnover, transactions and share traded categories. Altogether, 189,060 units of shares were traded via 110 transactions worth Rs 19,822,931.
The broker with the highest standalone dealing of the KBL was Broker No 56 (Sri Hari Securities Pvt. Ltd.) with 23.06%; amounting Rs 9,141,750 via 24 transactions totaling 29,550 units which includes 3 matching transactions tallying 7,000 units worth Rs 2,148,000.
Overall, 669,042 units of share were traded by 1,917 transactions worth Rs 365,303,708; the market capitalization by the end of the day tallied to Rs 546,244.08 million.
