NEPSE Free Fall: Plunged 26.48 Points Today To Settle At 1,969.01 Levels, Intraday Turnover Stood At Rs 1.336 Arba

The NEPSE index closed at 1,969.01 today after losing 26.48 points from the last trading day's closing. This is a loss of 1.33%. The index lost 24.44 points yesterday.
Today the index opened at 1,995.34 and made the intraday high at 1,996.63. While it went as low as 1,966.28 and ultimately closed at 1,969.01.
256 scrips traded hands via 28,500 transactions. A total of 3,657,154 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 1.336 Arba in turnover amount. This is slightly higher than the last trading day's turnover of Rs. 1.288 Arba.
Himalayan Distillery Limited (HDL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 8.12 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 2,196.10 per share. The shares of SHIVM traded the most.
Buddha Bhumi Nepal Hydropower Company Limited (BNHC) gained the highest 4.29% for the day.
Conversely, Global IME Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (GILB) lost the highest 7.00% today.
All sector indices closed red, "Microfinance" lost the highest 2.64% each while "Hotel and Tourism" lost the least 0.66% today.
