NEPSE forms CDSC Board; Sitaram Thapaliya appointed as a Chairman

ˊWe formed the board as directed by Ministry of Finance (MOF), first meeting of the newly formed BOD was held in this morning, ˋsaid Sitaram Thapaliya, newly appointed chairman of the CDSC board. Thapaliya is also General Manager at NEPSE. Earlier, Thapaliya was  member in dissolved board.

Beside Thapaliya, Pramod Kumar Bhattrai, Senior Manager at NEPSE, Krishna Raj Pokhrel, Officer at NEPSE are other members in the newly formed board of CDSC.

CDSC previous board was dissolved by Ministry of Finance two weeks earlier on Dec 2, 2014. MOF has directed to dissolve the board and reform it with majority representation from NEPSE.

Earlier, Krishna Prasad Devkota, undersecretary of MOF was leading CDSC board as chairman. Hari Prasad Kafle, Executive Director of Nepal Rastra Bank was one of the members in the dissolved board.   MOF had directed not to increase facilities of newly formed board compared to NEPSE board.  MOF had given new direction to make CDSC board more responsible to its parent company, NEPSE.
