NEPSE Fell by a Few Points, Market Below 1900: Hotel and Tourism Sector Gains Highest

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index has a loss of 2.17 points, or 0.11%, over the previous day's closing to conclude at 1,894.53 points. The previous trading day saw a loss of 11.27 points for the index.

The index opened trading at 1896.4 and had an intraday low of 1,885.23 and an intraday high of 1,902.63.

There were 290 different stocks traded in 47,333 transactions during today's session. 4,727,902 shares were traded, resulting in a total turnover of Rs. 1.28 arba. With a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.19 Kharba, the market capitalization was Rs. 29.21 Kharba.

At a market price of Rs. 301.20, Sonapur Minerals And Oil Limited (SONA) finished with the highest turnover of Rs. 8.49 crores on third consecutive day.

Likewise, today's highest gainer is Buddha Bhumi Nepal Hydropower Company Limited (BNHC), at 9.97%.

Conversely, today's biggest loss is recorded by Narayani Development Bank Limited (NABBC), at 5.33%.

Today, all sector indicies closed in the red, except for "Finance Index, Hotels And Tourism Index, HydroPower Index, Manufacturing And Processing, Mutual Fund". "Hotels And Tourism Index" saw the most gain of 3.33%, whereas "Trading Index" saw a loss of 0.99%.
