NEPSE falls by 8.34 points to close at 1,217.84 points; meager turnover of Rs 27.38 crore made during the day

The market index at Nepal Stock Exchange has closed at 1,217.84 points losing 8.34 points during the day. The market had started at 1,226.18 and showed continuously decline during the trading period.

More than 25.91 lakh unit shares were traded with the total turnover exceeding Rs 27.38 crore.

Om Development Bank Limited (ODBL) stood ahead in terms of total turnover as more than Rs 3.61 crore worth of shares was traded. Similarly, it was also ahead in terms of number of stocks traded as 2,00,980 unit shares were traded during the day.

The shareholders of Everest Bank Limited Con. Pref. (EBLCP) earned the most today as the price of the share has increased by 24 points or 3.99%. Similarly, the shareholders of United Modi Hydropower Limited (UMHL) lost the most in today’s trading hour as the price of the stock decreased by 8 points or 4.3716%.

Both the sensitive index and float index decreased by 1.79 points and 0.62 points respectively.

Out of all the sub-indices, only Trading sector was not in the red zone as there was no change in the points. The Insurance sector lost the most points i.e. 40.88 points which was followed by Hydropower sector losing 20.71 points.
