NEPSE FALLS BY 2.41 POINTS

The investors rushed to book their profit after the last week surge, engulfing the market with high selling pressure today leading to a 2.41 point loss in the local bourse level.
Nearing fiscal year has cornered the investors in paying their debt obligation which has attributed to investors hastily liquidating their share position. This scenario today forced the market to trade in the red zone for the entire session.
By the end of the day, Nepse index came to close at 493.13 levels.
Among the sub-indices, Hydro tumbled by a huge 6.4 points followed by Banking with 3.72 points descent. Similarly, Development and Finance also dropped by 0.49 and 0.54 points respectively. However, Insurance was the only sector with gain of 2.6 points.
Similarly, the Nepse today listed the 1,002,674 bonus shares of National Life Insurance Ltd. and 134,227 bonus shares of Navadurga Finance Ltd.
Overall, the scrips of 82 companies were traded, out of which 16 scrips gained, 22 remained intact and 44 scrips lost.
The best performer for the day was, Kankai Bikas Bank Ltd. (KNBL), closed at Rs 79, with Rs 7 or 9.72% gain. Among the shares trading above par, Sewa Bikas Bank Limited (SEWA), closed at Rs 106, was the top gainer with Rs 9 or 9.28% gain. Whereas, Swarojgar Laghu Bitta Bikas Bank Ltd. (SLBBL), closed at Rs 182 , was the worst performer with Rs 18 or 9.00% loss.
In case of the highest shares traded among mutual fund, Nabil Balance Fund 1 (NBF1), closed at Rs 9.93, topped with 112,306 units. In case of ordinary scrips, International Leasing And Fin. Co. (ILFC), closed at Rs 144, topped with 28,615 units.
In terms of turnover, Everest Bank Ltd (EBL), closed at Rs 1530, topped with 3,168 units worth Rs 4,850,150 via 34 transactions. The broker with the highest standalone dealing of EBL was Broker No 56 (Sri Hari Securities Pvt. Ltd.) with 45.92%; amounting Rs. 4,454,710 via 30 transactions totaling 2,910 units which includes 3 matching transactions tallying 200 units worth Rs 306,000.
Overall, 331,083 units of shares were traded via 1,183 transactions worth Rs 62,450,510.The market capitalization at the end of the day stood at Rs 488,607.82 Millions.
