NEPSE FALLS BY 0.92 POINTS

After the continuous incline of two days, the market index today came down by 0.92 points to close at 518.08 levels. The local bourse today started its trade below the yesterday’s closing level and with the progress of the session the index climbed to reach the day’s high of 520.8 levels. But, the eagerness of investors to book the profit pulled the index down to today’s closing.
The profit booking mainly prevailed in the banking scrips which also dragged the sector down by 0.92 points. In banking today, the scrips of NABIL Bank Limited Promoter Share (NABILP), Bank of Kathmandu (BOK), Kumari Bank Ltd (KBL), Global IME Bank Limited (GBIME) and Sunrise Bank Limited (SRBL) mainly suffered the loss more than Rs 7. As for Development, it incremented by 0.53 points whereas Finance dropped by 0.8 points.
Likewise, Hotels also plunged by 13.12 points following decline in the level of Soaltee Hotel Ltd. (SHL) by Rs 9. Similarly, the fall in Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (NTC) pushed the Other sector further south by 2.35 points. Whereas, Hydro sector plummeted by 3.05 points.
While, the increase in the value of Prime Life Insurance Company Limited (PLIC), Life Insurance Co. Nepal (LICN) and Asian Life Insurance Co. Limited (ALIC) by Rs 15, Rs 13 and Rs 8 respectively propel the Insurance sector up by 2.77 points.
Overall there were trades of 82 scrips among which only 30 scrips increased 10 remained intact and 42 scrips decreased. The highest gainer for the day was, Prime Life Insurance Company Limited (PLIC), closed at Rs 293, with Rs 15 or 5.40% gain. Whereas the highest loser of the day was NIDC Capital Markets Ltd. (NCM), closed at Rs 127, with Rs 14 or 9.93% loss.
In case of the highest shares traded, Siddhartha Investment Growth Scheme-1 (SIGS1), closed at Rs 11.52, topped with 117,500 units. In terms of turnover, Nepal Bangladesh Bank Ltd. (NBB), closed at Rs 322, topped with 29,883 units worth Rs 9,554,318 via 49 transactions.; in which Broker no 48 (Trishakti Century Public Limited) was the most active Broker with 61.77% stand alone dealing of NBB, tallying 18,585 units worth Rs 5,902,380 via 11 transactions which includes 3 matching transactions totaling 10,500 units worth Rs 3,322,500.
Altogether 345,230 units of shares were traded via 1,096 transactions worth Rs 71,947,795; the market capitalization at the day stood at Rs 503,008.64 Millions.
