NEPSE FALLS AS FALLING PRICE ESCALATE MORE SELLING PRESSURE

NEPSE witness yet another weary day as the falling of price level in recent days has further escalated sell order in the market.
As the market price of the shares are observing decreasing trend, the investors with the intention to avoid the downsizing of their recently gained profit are opting for liquidating their position. This caution attitude from the investors has fueled additional selling pressure in the market, attributing to gloomy condition of the market.
The stock index today observed further downfall of 1.17 points to close at 757.31 levels.
Contrary to yesterday, the Development and Hotels sector today witnessed surge of 1.76 and 10.35 points respectively.
Likewise, maintaining its winning streak, the Finance sector further added 0.70 points in its tally.
While, rest of the sub-indices continued yesterday’s trend. Hydro and Insurance made double digit plunge of 16.43 and 19.94 points respectively. Likewise, Others sector also suffered loss of 2.35 points. As for Banking, it loss today stood at minimum figure of 0.26 points only.
Alongside above sectors, Trading and Manufacturing also tumbled by 2.96 and 5.6 points respectively.
Altogether there were trade of 106 scrips, among which 51 scrips gained, 11 scrips remained intact and 44 scrips suffered loss.
The best performer among the traded scrips was Taragaon Regency Hotel (TRH), closed at Rs 174, with a gain of Rs 15 or 9.43 percent. Whereas, Nilgiri Bikas Bank Limited (NGBL), closed at Rs 152, was the worst performer with loss of Rs 12 or 7.32 percent.
The scrips with the highest turnover in today’s trade was Kumari Bank Ltd (KBL), closed at Rs 500, with trading of 38435 units worth Rs 19,550,034 via only 71 transactions.
The Broker with the highest transaction of KBL was Broker no 25 (Sweta Securities Pvt. Limited) with 26.76% standalone dealing of the KBL, tallying 20,591 units worth Rs 10,464,717 via 43 transactions which includes 5 matching transactions totaling 1,500 units share worth Rs 758,000.
The total market turnover today tallied at Rs 197,264,331, totaling 473,364 units of share which were traded through 1,591 transactions.
