NEPSE Experiences Volatility Amidst Political Uncertainty; Market Ends Green with 9.33 Points Gain

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index has a gain of 9.33 points, or 0.46%, over the previous day's closing to conclude at 2,017.03 points. The index had incurred a loss of 70.31 points in the trading session before.

The trading day started with the index opening at 2,008.93, hitting an intraday low of 1,992.34, and reaching an intraday high of 2,036.32.

During today's trading, there were 308 different stocks traded in 58,940 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 9,138,154 with a total turnover of Rs. 3.45 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 31.70 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.82 Kharba.

 

Sonapur Minerals And Oil Limited (SONA) had the highest turnover, reaching Rs. 33.37 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 514.

 

Similarly, Dolti Power Company Limited (DOLTI)showed the highest gain of 10%, followed by Swarojgar Laghu Bitta Bikas Bank Ltd. (SLBBL) with a gain of 8.70%.

 

On the flip side, Molung Hydropower Company Limited (MHCL) experienced the highest loss of 9.71%, followed by Global IME Balanced Fund-1 (GIBF1) with a loss of 5.54%.

In sector indices, Three sectors indices closed in the red today. The "Finance Index" saw the highest gain of 1.68%, while the "Banking Index" experienced a loss of 0.10%.
