NEPSE exhibits downward trend today plunging by 5.64 points; Market closes at 1,291.96 points

The NEPSE index today has fallen by 5.64 points or 0.43%, closing at 1,291.96 points. The total turnover for the day was Rs 94.73 crore, with 35.85 shares traded throughout the trading hours via 6,837 transactions. Similarly, the total market capitalization for today stands at Rs 1,603,591.17 millions.

The market had opened at 1,297.57 points, saw minor imporvements during the first hour but hit downtrend for the rest of the day, eventually closing in the red zone.

Saniman Bank Limited Promoter Share (SBBLPO) has the highest turnover today of Rs 32.5 crore closing at Rs 181. it also has the highest number of shares traded counting to 18.05 lakh shares traded.

The top gainer for today is Sagarmatha Insurance (SIC) climbing by 8.51% closing at Rs 1,530 whereas the top loser is Progressive Finane (PROFL) diving by 9.2% closing at Rs 108.

The sub-indices for today seems rather grim. Except for Non-life insurance and Manufacturing & processing sectors, all other sectors ended up in the red zone. The life insurance sector lost the most dipping by 53.88 points.
