NEPSE Ends Today's Session at 2,164.31; Loses 62.85 Points In Last 2 Working Days

In today's trading session, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index closed at 2,164.31 points, as the index shed 36.19 points or 1.64% compared to the previous day's closing. Even yesterday the index experienced a decline of 26.66 points.

The session started with the index opening at 2,202.99 and made its intraday high at 2,206.46. Throughout the trading session, it demonstrated downward momentum, reaching an intraday low of 2,162.55, before settling at its closing value of 2,164.31.

During today's trading, a total of 267 scrips were exchanged through 53,570 transactions, with a substantial volume of shares traded amounting to 7,716,277, representing a turnover of Rs. 2.92 Arba. The Float index lost 1.84% and currently stands at 149.76, while the Sensitive index also saw a decrease of 1.81% and now sits at 411.16.

The market capitalization stood at Rs. 3.18 Trillion whereas the float market capitalization stood at Rs. 1.12 Trillion.

Among the stocks, Soaltee Hotel Limited (SHL) recorded the highest turnover, with an impressive amount of Rs. 15.27 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 473. The shares of KBL were the most actively traded.

Notably, Kisan Lagubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (KLBSL) recorded the highest gain of 10% hitting the positive circuit for the day.

On the other hand, Nabil Debenture 2085 (NBLD85) sees the highest decline of 6.87%.

In terms of sector indices, only "Hotel and Tourism" closed in the green with a 1.22% gain while the "Banking" sector registered the highest loss of 2.75%. The "Trading" sector lost the least, declining by 0.12%.
