NEPSE ENDS ITS MISERABLE PERFORMANCE TO TOUCH 500 LEVELS

The Nepse index which has been observing weary and dangling movement from past one month, today finally came out of its miserable performance by making a miraculous jump of 6.54 points.

The incline in the Others and Banking sectors mainly attributed in advancing the local bourse away from the clutches of bearish mark today and helping the benchmark index to close at the day’s high of 500.93 levels.

For the most part, the surge in the price of Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (NTC) paved the constructive path for the growth of the market today followed by other shares.

 By the day’s end, the price of NTC increased by Rs 29 to close at Rs 559.

The huge soar in NTC also uplifted the Others sector by a massive 10.57 points. Similarly, Banking also was able to make an impressive growth of 3.88 points followed by Development and Finance by 0.92 and 0.01 points climb respectively. Likewise, Manufacturing too made an ascent of 0.7 points today.
 
Hydro made a huge loss of 4.14 points alongside 2.26 point tumble of Insurance companies. As for Hotels, it dropped by 0.76 points. In Insurance sector today, 320,000 units of bonus shares were listed of Siddhartha Insurance Limited in NEPSE for trading.

Apart from the improved performance in most of the indices today, the turnover of the market also made an enhancement of 17.59% to cross 100 million marks. The high turnover of Chilime Hydro power Co. (CHCL), National LifeInsu. Co. Ltd. (NLICL) and Everest Bank Ltd (EBL) mainly helped the market turnover to stand at Rs 115,802,287.

Among the single scrip, Chilime Hydro power Co.  (CHCL), closed at Rs 1128, had the highest turnover with 23,111 units worth Rs 26,091,394 via 95 transactions. The broker with the highest standalone dealing of CHCL was Broker No 38 (Dipshikha Dhitopatra Karobar Co. Pvt. Ltd.) with 30.05%; amounting Rs.  15,681,082 via 53 transactions totaling 13,897 units, which include 2 matching transactions tallying 150 units worth Rs 169,400.

All in all, the scrips of 95 companies were traded, out of which 51 scrips gained, 15 remained intact and 29 scrips lost. The total number of shares traded stood at 387,590 units which were carried out by 1,162 transactions. The market capitalization at the end of the day stood at Rs 496,344.19 Millions.

The best performer for the day was, Shree Investment Finance Co. Ltd (SIFC), closed at Rs 221, with Rs 20 or 9.95% gain.  Whereas, Bishal Bazar Co. Ltd. (BBC), closed at Rs 1742, was the worst performer with Rs 91 or 4.96% loss.

In case of the highest shares traded among mutual fund, Nabil Balance Fund 1 (NBF1), closed at Rs 9.80, topped with 150,397 units. In case of ordinary scrips trading above par, National LifeInsu. Co. Ltd. (NLICL), closed at Rs 572, topped with 32,097 units.
