Nepse ends at HIGH NOTE

Today Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) reached the 36 days highest point of 392.01 levels. Apart from the Finance and Hotels sector; all other remaining sub-indices climbed than the preceding day which helped to drag the Nepse up by 5.99 or 1.55% points. In the first half hour of the session the benchmark index floated near the 385 level which was the lowest for the day, then gradually increased in the remaining session to close at the highest level for the day at 392.01 level.

Summit Micro Finance Dev. Bank Ltd. which closed at Rs 172 with the highest of Rs 193 and lowest of Rs 169 has been listed for trading with stock symbol  (SMFDB).  And National Life Insurance Co. Ltd. (NLICL) which closed at Rs 519, has decided to give 30% bonus share.

 

In today’s session,Chhimek Laghubitta Bikas Bank Limited (CBBL), closed at Rs 379, was the Top Gainer with Rs 34 or 9.86%. Similarly, Kaski Finance Limited (KAFIL), settled at Rs 113, was the Top Loser with Rs 7 or 5.83%.

KIST Bank Limited (KIST), closed at Rs 122, topped the category of highest share traded by means of 11,730 units. All in all, with 8,086 shares worth Rs 7,195,490 via 134 transactions, Chilime Hydro power Co. (CHCL), closed at Rs 904, had the highest turnover and transaction; in which Broker No 10 (Primo Securities Pvt. Limited) was the most active broker with 48.07% stand alone dealing of CHCL, amounting Rs 3,459,094 of 3,888 units via 66 transactions which includes matching of 1,780 units worth Rs 1,571,198 via 33 transactions.

 

Sectoral wise, Finance sector plummeted by 0.25 or 0.1% to settle at 263.1 points. On the other hand, Others sector rose by 2.04% to settle at 587.46 level which was the top gainer among sub-indices. Similarly,  Banking, Hydro, Development and Insurance also increased by of 1.92% ,1.48%, 1.06% and 0.08% points respectively. On the contrary, Hotels sector remain intact at 489.42 level. Sensitive index added 1.69 or 1.7% points to rest at 100.97 points while Float index also rocketed up by 0.288 or 0.95 point to halt at 30.71 level.

Total scrips traded for the day was 85 with 49 gainers and 15 losers with total turnover of Rs 50,297,314 which is comparatively Rs 15,326,190 or 43.83% higher than prior trading session. Overall 152,073 units of shares were traded via 1174 transactions with the market capitalization of Rs 370,410.66 Millions.
