NEPSE Edges Up By 5.08 Points to CLose at 2,731.59; Finance Sector Sees Highest Gain Among Other Indices

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a gain today, gaining by 5.08 points (0.18%) to settle at 2,731.59. This follows a 42.58 point loss in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2,728.22, touching an intraday high of 2,735.55, while the lowest point was 2,702.56. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 11.49 Arba, with 23,618,186 shares traded across 334 companies through 121,992 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 45.86 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.62 Kharba.


Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company Ltd (AKJCL) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 83.57 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 304.70.


Two Companies Hit Upper Circuit By gaining a maximum of 10% each.


Meanwhile, 12 % Goodwill Finance Limited Debenture 2083 (GWFD83) recorded the steepest drop, falling 8.07%.


Among sectors, the Finance Index registered the highest gain, gaining 1.33%, while the Investment Index saw the highest loss at 0.18%.
