NEPSE dwindles by double figures; Market closes at 1,206.43 points after losing 17.96 points

The local bourse of the country decreased by 17.96 points to close at 1,206.43 points. The market which had started at Rs 1,224.39 points fluctuated during the trading period and ended losing 1.47%.

Total turnover during the day was of more than Rs 41.08 crore which was generated from the transaction of 10,97,067 unit shares. The shares of 167 listed companies were traded during the day through 4,244 transactions.

Everest Insurance Company Limited (EIC) stood ahead in terms of turnover as shares worth more than Rs 14.80 crore were traded during the day. It was also ahead in terms of units traded as more than 1.15 lakh unit shares of EIC were traded during the day.

The shareholders of Kankai Bikas Bank Limited (KNBL) stood as the top gainer for the day as the price of the stock increased by 6 points and its LTP stood at Rs 134. However, the shareholders of Shine Resunga Development Bank Limited (SHINE) were the top loser for the day as the price of the stock decreased by 19 points and its LTP stood at Rs 266.

Both the sensitive and float index decreased today. Sensitive index decreased by 3.8 points while Float index decreased by 1.33 points.

Only Trading and Manufacturing and Production sector ended in the green zone. Manufacturing and Production gained 7.43 points while Insurance sector lost 130.42 points to end the day.
