NEPSE drops by 7.76 points; turnover amounts only Rs 109.89 million

NEPSE Index slipped 7.76 points or 0.79 percent to close at 970.68 level.

Similarly NEPSE Sensitive and Float also dipped down by 1.29 and 0.62 points to close at 206.79 and 68.20 levels respectively.

The noticeable point of the day was the total turnover which amounted just Rs 109.89 million.


As the 4 major broker of the country (Broker No. 6, 7, 22 and 56) are restricted by NEPSE to execute trading on behalf of their Clint on the charge of several factors affected the market today.

Among the sub-indices, Banking went down by 7.89 points of 0.93 percent to close at 844.72 level.

Development (824.44) and Insurance (4137.07) plunged by 5.45 and 75.08 points respectively.

HydroPower (2215.93) and Hotels (2014.60) dropped by 19.24 and 7.2 points respectively.

Finance and Others were the only sectors to land in green today by gaining meager 0.31 and 3.52 points to close at 542.04 and 758.94 levels respectively.

Altogether 294,565 unit shares of 131 companies were traded through 1,179 transactions worth Rs 109.89 million.

Maximum shares of Everest Bank, Nepal Life Insurance, CHCL, Prabhu and OHL were traded today.

KNBL, APEX, SUPRME and NBBL were among the top losers of the day.

MPFL, RLFL, JHB and CSDBL were among the top gainers of the day.
