NEPSE DROPS BY 0.62 POINT

In turn of events today, the stock market, which in the initial phase showed sign of bullish movement, latter came to settle on zed zone with a loss of 0.62 point. The benchmark index by the end of the day came to settle at 852.06 level.

Earlier, the local bourse continuing with its upward transition had reached near to the level of 856 level. However, the fall of Others sector in the latter hours proved too much for market index as the Nepse index made its way downward.

Others sector today plunged by 7.05 points. Similarly, Insurance and Finance sectors also suffered loss of 21.83 points and 3.7 points respectively.

Whereas, Hotels and Hydro made double digit growth of 48.21 points and 11.52 points respectively. Likewise, Banking and Development also increased by 0.61 point and 0.04 point respectively.

Altogether there were trade of 134 scrips, among which 60 scrips gained, 11 scrips remained intact and 63 scrips suffered loss.

Western Development Bank Limited (WDBL), closed at Rs 178, was the top performer today with gain of Rs 16 or 9.88 percent whereas Peoples Finance Limited. (PFCL), closed at Rs 135, was the worst performer with loss of Rs 10 or 6.09 percent.

Likewise, National LifeInsu. Co.Ltd. (NLICL), which closed at Rs 3026, had the highest turnover among the traded scrips today. Overall, 13,257 units were traded through 28 transactions worth Rs 39,946,493.

The Broker with the highest transaction of NLICL was Broker No 33 (Dachinkali Investment Securities Pvt.Ltd) with 32.33 percent standalone dealing, totaling 8,600 units worth Rs 25,830,200 via 15 transactions, which include five matching transactions tallying 2,000 units worth Rs 6,004,700.

The market turnover today stood at Rs 374,073,692, with total number of shares traded at 832,213 units which were traded through 2,590 transactions. The market capitalization at the end of the day stood at Rs 868,874.56 Millions.
