NEPSE Down by 17.56 points To Close at 1,958.72 Levels: CLI sees Highest Turnover Among All Scrips

In today's trading session, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index closed at 1,958.72 points, as the index experienced huge loss of 17.56 points or 0.88% compared to the previous day's closing. The index gain 5.19 points yesterday.
The trading started with the index opening at 1,977.83 hitting an intraday low of 1,954.13, whereas intraday high was 1,978.27.
During today's trading, there were 281 different stocks traded in 55,096 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 3,965,917 units with a total turnover of Rs. 1.19 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 29.86 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.51 Kharba.
Citizen Life Insurance Company Limited (CLI) had the highest turnover, reaching Rs. 5.59 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 446.
Similarly, Samata Gharelu Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SMATA) showed the highest gain of 7.91%, followed by Ghalemdi Hydro Limited (GHL) with a gain of 7.81%.
On the flip side, Samudayik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SLBSL) experienced the loss of 7.54% today.
In terms of sector indices, all sector indices closed red. "Trading Index" lost the highest 1.47% while "Banking Index" lost the least 0.61% today.
