NEPSE Down 30.77 Points With Intraday Turnover of Rs 1.392 Arba; Rookie Stock SMHL Hits Positive Circuit on First Trading Day

The NEPSE index closed at 1,938.25 today after losing 30.77 points from the last trading day's closing. This is a loss of 1.56%. The index lost 26.48 points last Thursday.
Today the index opened at 1,967.49 and made the intraday high at 1,975.93. While it went as low as 1,935.21 and ultimately closed at 1,938.25.
259 scrips traded hands via 30,903 transactions. A total of 3,832,459 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 1.392 Arba in turnover amount. This is slightly higher than the last trading day's turnover of Rs. 1.336 Arba.
Himalayan Distillery Limited (HDL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 8.44 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 2,094 per share. The shares of SHIVM traded the most.
Super Madi Hydropower Limited (SMHL) gained the highest 10% and hit positive for the day.
Conversely, Samling Power Company Limited (SPC) lost all 10% today.
All sector indices closed red, "Manufacturing And Processing" lost the highest 3.03% each while "Trading" lost the least 0.37% today.
