NEPSE Down 20.34 Points With Decline in Turnover, Two IPO Rookies Gain 10% Nonetheless

The NEPSE index closed at 2,630.36 today after losing 20.34 points from last trading day's closing. The index had gained 16.04 points yesterday.
The index opened at 2,651.41 today and made the intraday high at 2,653.24. However, it couldn't sustain the rise, and the index kept falling from there. While it went as low as 2,623.08, it ultimately closed at 2,630.36.
226 scrips traded hands via 29,678 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 3,985,574 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 2.046 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 2.518 Arba.

NIC Asia Bank Ltd. (NICA) had the highest turnover of Rs. 8.41 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 785 per share. The shares of Arun Valley Hydropower Development Co. Ltd. (AHPC) were traded the most.

Rastra Utthan Laghubitta Sanstha Limited (RULB) and Emerging Nepal Limited (ENL) have technically gained the highest 10% and hit the positive circuit breaker. On the other side of things, Buddha Bhumi Nepal Hydropower Company Limited (BNHC) lost the highest 3.58%.


Among the thirteen sector indices, only two closed green today, of which "Trading" gained a higher 0.5%. Among all other sector indices that lost, "Finance" lost the highest 1.55%.
