NEPSE DIPS BY 3.3 POINTS

The investors tempt to book their short run profit, dipped the market for a correction of 3.3 points today.

Following the slight incline in the initial run, the market came tumbling with the escalating liquidation of banking scrips.  The local bourse came to close at 529.67 levels at the end of the day.

Within the past few days, the blue-chip banking scrips like Nabil, SCB, NICA etc has gained a lot of height encouraging the investors for a short run profit causing the Banking sector to plunge by 4.68 points.

Similarly, Others and Development also dropped by 8.23 and 0.37 points respectively.

Whereas, Insurance continued with its booming streak as it surge by 6.48 points followed by Hydro with a gain of 8.43 points.

All in all, the scrips of 89 companies were traded, out of which 31 scrips gained, 11 remained intact and 47 scrips lost.

The best performers for the today was, NLG Insurance Co. Ltd. (NLG), closed at Rs 441, with the gain of Rs 40 or 9.98%. Whereas, Himalayan Finance Limited (Bittiya Sanstha) (HFL), closed at Rs 29.17, was the top loser with Rs 1.83 or 5.90% loss.

In case of the highest shares traded among mutual fund, Nabil Balance Fund 1 (NBF1), closed at Rs 10.09, topped with 269,094 units. In case of ordinary scrips, NIC Asia Bank Limited (NICA), closed at Rs 710, topped with 25,879 units.

In terms of turnover also, NIC Asia Bank Limited (NICA) topped with turnover worth Rs 18,372,368 via 188 transactions. The broker with the highest standalone dealing of NICA was Broker No 44 (Dynamic Money Managers Securities Pvt. Ltd) with 7.84%; amounting Rs 2,882,168 via 29 transactions totaling 4,006 units which includes 2 matching transactions tallying 641 units worth Rs 471,359

Overall, 512,297 units of share were traded by 1,466 transactions worth Rs 115,704,351; the market capitalization by the end of the day tallied to Rs 526,620.58 million.
