NEPSE Declines for Fifth Consecutive Day; Manufacturing Sector Sees the Highest Gain Among All Indices

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a single-digit loss today, losing by 1.04 points (0.04%) to close at 2,557.31. This follows a 35.92 point loss in the previous trading session.

The benchmark index opened at 2,553.99 and fluctuated between an intraday high of 2,566.78 and a low of 2,517.79 before settling at the close. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 3.78 Arba, with 10,626,370 shares traded across 348 companies through 52,575 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 43.98 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 14.82 Kharba.

SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 21.75 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 650.00.

Sarvottam Paints Industries Limited (SAPIL) hit the upper circuit with a 15.00% gain. The stock closed at Rs. 1,394.80.

Meanwhile,Upper Hewakhola Hydropower Company Limited (UHEWA) recorded the Highest fall, falling by 9.45%. The last traded price of the company was Rs. 604.00.

Among sectors, Manufacturing And Processing recorded the highest gain, gaining by 1.74%, while the Mutual fund recorded the highest loss, down 3.05%.
