NEPSE Declines by Double Digits to Settle at 2,735.14 Level; Finance Sector Sees Highest Gain Among All Indices

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today declining by 20.27 points (0.73%) to settle at 2,735.14. This comes after a loss of 11.37 points in the previous trading session.

 

The benchmark index opened at 2,749.32 and fluctuated between an intraday high of 2,754.58 and a low of 2,726.38 before settling higher at the close. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 4.08 Arba, with 9,236,677 shares traded across 356 companies through 56,845 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 46.66 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.66 Kharba.

Central Finance Co. Ltd. (CFCL) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 20.46 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 645.00.


Kalinchock Hydropower Limited (KHPL) and Led the gainer's list with 14.99%.The stock Closed at Rs. 871.20.


Meanwhile, Upakar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ULBSL) recorded the Highest fall, falling by 7.14%, the last traded price of the company was Rs. 2,990.00.

 

Among sectors, the Finance Index registered the highest gain by 0.26%, while Trading Index recorded highest fall, falling by 1.77%.
