Nepse Decline continues

Today also Nepal Stock Exchange continued its downfall as it decline by 0.42 or 0.1% points to close at 413.65 level. With the fall below the opening level after 15 minutes of session started, the benchmark index couldn’t recover to green pasture as for the rest of the day it dwell under the 414 level. As the book closure of most of the bonus share declared companies are near, the investors are capitalizing the current high range of such scrip as after the book closure, the price of such scrip will be adjusted by Nepse.


The main contributors in today’s Nepse fall were all the Financial and Banking related sub-indices as Banking , Development and Finance all came down by 1.47 or 0.41% , 0.46 or 0.19% and 0.77 or 0.3% points respectively. Under Banking , the publication of Nabil Bank Ltd book closure on 3rd October took a toll in its price as it decrease by Rs 16.Similarly, nearing book closure date, 28th October, of Nepal SBI also affected its price as it came down by Rs 5. Whereas in Development, the fall in the Diprox Development Bank, closed at Rs 314, by Rs 24 or 7.10%, highest drop among the traded share for the day, along with the decrease in Nerude Laghubita Bikas Bank Limited by Rs 19 mainly contributed in sector lost. In Finance, among the 18 scrips traded today there were only 5 incliners. Today, Maha Laxmi Finance Ltd under Finance sector has proposed of 8.42% cash dividend to its shareholders.
 
Other decliner in the sub-indices was Hydro as it dropped by 1.54 or 0.18% points. The fall came with the decrease in the price of Chilime Hydro Power Co (CHCL) by Rs 10. Similarly, there were three gainers in sectoral index today they were Hotels, Insurance and Others with 0.76 or 0.13%, 3.15 or 0.47% and 3.52 or 0.51% points respectively. The incline in Hotels sector was mainly due to the increase in the price of Oriental Hotel Ltd. by Rs 2 as it was the only scrip traded under it. Whereas in Insurance sector, the jump in the price of Prime Life Insurance Company Limited , Sagarmatha Insurance Co.Ltd by Rs 20 and Rs 15 along with other 3 scrips aided in its growth.As for Others sector, the improvement in the price of NTC by Rs 3 after yesterday decline help in its rise.

Overall there were 101 scrips traded among which 32 scrips increased, 20 remain intact and 49 scrips decreased. The scrip that added the most rupee in its tally was Diyalo Bikas Bank Ltd. (DBBL),closed at Rs 112, as it added Rs 9 or 8.74%. The highest traded share was of Business Universal Development Bank Ltd. (BUDBL), closed at Rs 110, with 47,537 units. In case of highest turnover, Nabil Bank Ltd.(NBL), closed at Rs 1410, topped with amount Rs 8,729,893.

The total turnover today was 81,519,912which is comparatively Rs 28,475,728 or 53.68% higher than prior trading session. Overall 268,431 units of shares were traded via 1,526 transactions with the market capitalization of Rs 391,445.38 Millions.
