NEPSE Crosses 2,000 Level After Double Digit Gain of 34.17 Points; Turnover Highest In Almost 5 Months

The NEPSE index closed at 2,020.64 today after gaining impressive 34.17 points from the last trading day's closing. This is a gain of 1.72%. The index gained 7.79 points yesterday. The index concluded at its highest point in 3.5 months. Last time on 27th Feb 2023, the NEPSE was at 2,023.54 levels.

Today the index opened at 1,989.43 and then made the intraday low at 1,977.52. In contrast, it went as high as 1,972.00 and ultimately closed at 2,020.64.

270 scrips traded hands via 70,759 transactions. A total of 10,801,693 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 4.12 Arba in turnover amount. This is higher than the last trading day's turnover of Rs. 2.88 Arba. This is the highest turnover in almost 5 months (18th Jan 2023) when the turnover amount stood at Rs 4.98 Arba.

SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) shares traded the most and had the highest turnover of Rs. 27.66 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 506.50 per share.

Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (WNLB) gained the highest 10% and hit the positive circuit for today.

Conversely, Prabhu Smart Fund (PRSF) lost the highest 3.93% today.

All sector indices closed green, "Manufacturing and Processing" gained the highest 4.32% while "Banking" gained the least 0.61% today.
