The news of Mutual Fund guidelines being passed and Nabil Investment Banking Ltd. in process to introduce Rs 500 million worth of schemes within two months of time, help to boost the investor’s confidence in the market. Today, Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) rose by 9.27 or 2.35% points to cross the 400 mark to close at 404.73 level. The entry of the mutual fund in the market would be the best financial tool to provide a steadiness in the market. As the legal guidelines to start mutual fund have been approved, in the upcoming days huge amounts will be invested in the market which is making the share market more attractive to the investor in the recent days.
In today’s session,Janaki Finance Limited (JFL), closed at Rs 329, was the Top Gainer with Rs 24 or 7.87%. Similarly, National Life Insurance Co. Ltd. (NLICL), settled at Rs 482, was the Top Loser with Rs 7 or 9.91%.
KIST Bank Limited (KIST), closed at Rs 118, topped the category of highest share traded by means of 24,350 units. Whereas, Agriculture Development Bank Limited (ADBL), closed at Rs 192, had the highest transaction of 149 times. All in all, with 12,652 shares worth Rs 11,965,924 via 126 transactions, Chilime Hydro power Co. (CHCL), closed at Rs 964, had the highest turnover and transaction; in which Broker No 6 (Agrawal Securities Pvt. Limited) was the most active broker with 16.47% stand alone dealing of CHCL, amounting Rs 1,970,308 of 2,098 units via 11 transactions which includes matching of 230 units worth Rs 218,930 via 2 transactions.
Sectoral wise, Finance sector plummeted by 0.27 or 0.1% to settle at 263.46 points. On the other hand, Hydro sector rose by 3.57% to settle at 709.99 level which was the top gainer among sub-indices. Similarly, Others, Banking, Insurance and Development also increased by of 3.56%, 2.5%, 0.69% and 0.28% points respectively. Sensitive index added 2.59 or 2.54% points to rest at 104.47 points while Float index also rocketed up by 0.532 or 01.72% point to halt at 31.49 level.
Total scrips traded for the day was 83 with 57 gainers and 20 losers with total turnover of Rs 92,355,274 which is comparatively Rs 19,782,376 or 27.26% higher than prior trading session. Overall 262,893 units of shares were traded via 1577 transactions with the market capitalization of Rs 382,446.63 Millions.
