NEPSE Creates New High Again; Both Insurance Sectors Show Massive Intraday Gain

The NEPSE index gained 18.76 points today and closed at 2,441.85. This is the highest closing-ever in the history of NEPSE. The index has been breaking records and creating new highs for a long, and there seems to be no stopping.

The index opened at 2,433.74 today and made an intraday low at 2,416.62. Although the index went as high as 2,449.42, it ultimately closed at 2,441.85.

15,289,259 shares traded hands via 59,151 transactions. The trading of 208 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 8 Arba. While the float index gained 1.21 points and closed at 166.80, the Sensitive index is at 446.38 after losing 0.86 points.

Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 93.34 crores. The shares of National Hydro Power Company Limited (NHPC) traded the most.

A total of 7 companies have technically hit a 10% positive circuit today.

Meanwhile, Pokhara Finance Limited (PFL) lost the most 7.05%.

Five sectors gained and seven others closed red. While the Life Insurance sector gained a massive 6.25%, Hotels lost the most 1.18%.
