NEPSE Creates New All-Time High; Development Banks and Finance Sector Witness Impressive Gain

The NEPSE index gained 32.81 points today and closed at 2,820.00. The index opened at 2,768.86 and immediately made the intraday low at 2,738.70. However, the index gained in intraday action today, closing at the intraday high of 2,820. This is also the highest index-closing in the history of NEPSE.
25,163,660 shares traded hands via 1,26,124 transactions. The trading of 220 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 11.695 Arba. This is second only to the highest turnover of Rs. 11.958 Arba created last week.

While the float index gained 2.77 points and closed at 194.24, the Sensitive index is at 507.20 after gaining 8.23 points.
Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 41.86 crores.

Over a dozen scrips have technically closed at the upper limit of 10% gain today.

On the other side of things, Ru Ru Jalvidut Pariyojana Limited (RURU) lost the most 3.73%.

Three sectors lost while all others gained today. Development Banks gained an impressive 7.54% while Finance gained an equally magnificent 6.76%. In contrast, Microfinance lost the most 0.37%.
