NEPSE Creates All-Time High With Third-Highest Intraday Turnover

The NEPSE index gained 54.21 points today and closed at the all-time high of 2,738.29. The previous highest closing was at 2,735.46. What is important to note is that the turnover seen today is higher than the turnover created the last time the index created a historic high.
The index opened at 2,693.90 and did not trade at anything lower than that. The market close itself is the intraday high.
21,328,882 shares traded hands via 113,069 transactions. The trading of 214 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 10.403 Arba. This is also the third-highest intraday turnover in the history of NEPSE. The highest turnover of Rs. 10.619 Arba is not so far away after all.
While the float index gained 3.98 points and closed at 188.00, the Sensitive index is at 488.14 after gaining 8.64 points.
Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 85.2 crores.
Six scrips have closed at the upper limit of 10% gain (technically) today.
On the other side of things, Union Hydropower Company Limited (UNHPL) lost the most 5.05%.
All sectors gained today, with the Non-Life Insurance sector rocking a solid 4.28% gain.
