NEPSE Creates All-Time High At 3,161.44; Development Banks and Finance Companies Gain Heavily

The NEPSE index closed at 3,161.44 today after gaining 51.86 points. This is the highest index-closing in the history of Nepal's capital market.
The index opened at 3,120.29 and made the intraday low at 3,114.77. While it went as high as 3,164.34, it ultimately closed at 3,161.44. The float index is at 221.32 after gaining 4.2 points while the Sensitive index is at 587.95 after gaining 12 points.
A total of 33,535,213 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 17.846 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than yesterday's figure of Rs. 14.137 Arba. 225 scrips traded hands via 163,969 transactions.
Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Limited (UPPER) had the highest turnover of Rs. 89.33 crore closing at a market price of Rs. 875 per share. The units of Siddhartha Investment Growth Scheme-2 (SIGS2) traded the most.
A total of 13 crips have hit the positive circuit breaker by gaining 10%, which is the highest permissible intraday gain for a stock. On the other side of things, Sanjen Jalavidhyut Company Limited (SJCL) lost the most 5.16%.
Three sectors lost while all others closed green. Development Bank gained a massive 8.07% while Finance gained an impressive 6.78%.
