NEPSE Creates All-Time High at 3,123.14; Nine Scrips Hit Positive Circuit Breaker

The NEPSE index closed at 3,123.14 today after gaining 12.05 points from the last trading day's close. This is the highest index-closing in the history of Nepal's capital market. The previous all-time high was broken yesterday with the index closing at 3,111.09.

The index opened at 3,126.99 and made the intraday high at 3,140.38. While it went as low as 3,121.13, it ultimately closed at 3,123.14. The float index is at 217.92 after gaining 1.28 points while the Sensitive index is at 578.23 after gaining 0.71 points.

A total of 28,813,831 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 15.595 Arba in the turnover amount. 225 scrips traded hands via 144,887 transactions.

Api Power Company Limited (API) had the highest turnover of Rs. 79.49 crore closing at a market price of Rs. 564 per share. Its shares also traded the most.

A total of nine scrips have hit the positive circuit breaker by gaining 10%, which is the highest permissible intraday gain for a stock. On the other side of things, Laxmi Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (LLBS) lost the most 4.96%.

Six sectors gained and seven others closed red. While Hydropower gained the most 5.81%, Microfinance lost the most 2.11%.
