NEPSE Couldn't Sustain Last Week Gain: Drops Down by 19.42 Points Today

In today's trading session, the NEPSE index closed at 2,010.35 after losing 19.42 points from the last trading day's closing. This is a loss of 0.95%. The index gained 44.34 points last Thursday.
The trading day started with the index opening at 2,029.42, hitting an intraday low of 2,003.83, but also reaching an intraday high of 2,037.02 before settling at its closing value of 2,010.35.
During today's trading, there were 285 different stocks traded in 81,010 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 9,003,941, with a total turnover of Rs. 2.32 Arba. Market capitalization surged to Rs. 10.72 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 30.44 Kharba.
Machhapuchhre Bank Limited (MBL) had the highest turnover, reaching Rs. 13.24 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 263.60.
Similarly, Swarojgar Laghu Bitta Bikas Bank Ltd. (SLBBL), Himalayan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (HLBSL) and Asian Hydropower Limited (AHL) showed the highest gain of 10%, followed by Three Star Hydropower Limited (TSHL) with a gain of 9.73%.
On the flip side, Shuvam Power Limited (SPL) hits the negative circuit today.
In terms of sector indices, indices except Microfinance all other indices closed in the red, with the Microfinance gaining the most at 0.99%.
