Nepse couldn’t gain today, too

Continuing the downward trend since the past few days, the only secondary market of Nepal shed 12.27 points today to close at 921.69 level.
The market kept on falling in the first half, and somewhat stabilized toward quarter past 1, and started to climb toward the last half an hour of the trading.
This is a notable departure if we look at the trading in the earlier days of the week when the market increased steadily in the first half an hour into the trading, before the selling pressure grew, ultimately landing the benchmark index in the red zone.
The market turnover for the day stood at Rs 39.92 crore, which is better than Rs 32.86 crore turnover of yesterday.
All the sub-indices, expect the Manufacturing and Others, lost points today. The Banking group lost 13.21 points, Hotels 59.51 lost points, Development Bank 15.22, Hydropower 30.93, Finance 5.82 and Insurance lost 43.51 points.
Manufacturing, on the other hand, posted a gain of 37.93 points while Others sub-index remained intact today.
Marker experts believe that this is largely due to the fact that general investors have not been able to regain full confidence despite repeated clarification from the regulators.
