Nepse continues to rally

Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse), today also continues to rally as the market index added 1.87 points in its tally. With today’s increment, the benchmark index reached 414.35 level crossing 108 days old high of 412.87 level set on 27th May.  Despite the fall in the Insurance sector which has been one of big contributor in Nepse incline in recent days, the climb in the remaining sub-indices help in the today’s gain.

 

The highest gainer among the sub-indices today was Trading sector which added 1.76% points as the scrip of Bishal Bazar Co. Ltd.  added Rs 68 supporting in this sub-index growth. Likewise Others added 1.22% followed by Finance sector with 0.46%. The raise in the Citizen Investment Trust and Janaki Finance Ltd by Rs 42 and Rs 18 respectively were the main contributors in Finance sector incline. Similarly, the increase in the price of Soaltee Hotel Ltd. by Rs 4 helped to uplift the Hotel sector by 0.25%. Whereas, the surge in all the scrips traded under Hydro sector contributed in its incline by 0.19%.

 

Also Development and Banking sector both added 0.01% and .09% respectively. Among 30 scrips traded under Development sector, 13 scrips increment outweighed the loss of 10 scrips. Whereas in Banking, the raise in NABIL Bank Limited Promoter Share, Global IME Bank Limited and Nepal Bangladesh Bank Ltd. by Rs 38, Rs 21 and Rs 13 respectively help to maintain the Banking sector in green pasture. The fall in the Insurance sector by 0.46% was mainly due to the Nepal Life Insurance Co. Ltd. as the scrip came to close at Rs 1,223 losing 62 rupee in its tally.

 

Today the total scrip traded was 94 compare to 101 scrips traded yesterday, among which 44 scrips increased, 16 remain intact and 34 scrips decreased. The highest gainer for the day was Global IME Bank Limited (GBIME), closed at Rs 232, with Rs 19 or 9.90%.The proposal by the Bank of 3% bonus share and 10% cash dividend has recently attracted many investors in this scrip.  Whereas, Multipurpose Finance Co. Ltd (MPFL), closed at Rs 223, was the Top loser with Rs 20 or 8.23%.


In case of highest share traded, Lumbini General Insurance (LGIL), closed at Rs 118, topped with 78,643 units. In terms of turnover, Nepal Life Insurance Co. Ltd. (NLIC) topped the category. Overall, 9,373 units worth Rs 11,378,920 via 22 transactions were done of NLIC; in which Broker no 19 (Nepal Investment & Securities Trading Pvt.Ltd) was the most active broker with 57.99% stand alone dealing of NLIC , totaling 5,475 units worth Rs 6,599,500 via 6 transactions.


The total turnover today was 90,478,317 which is comparatively Rs 12,010,710 or 15.31% higher than prior trading session. Overall 311,669 units of shares were traded via 1,468 transactions with the market capitalization of Rs 392,107.48 Millions.
