Nepse continues to rally

Today Nepal Stock Exchange added 1.42 points in its tally to close at 422.25 level. Though the insurance sector dragged the Nepse below the opening level for first hour, the improvement in remaining sub-indices help to float the benchmark index in the green pasture today. With today’s incline the local bourse is inch close towards the high of 422.99 set on April 23rd, 2012.
Among the sub-indices that added the most today was Hydro as it gained 2.82%. The contribution in this sector came from all three scrips traded under as Arun valley, Butwal Power and Chilime added Rs 4,Rs 16 and Rs 37 respectively. Similarly, rise in the price of Bishal Bazar Co. Ltd. By Rs 35 boosted the Trading sector up by 1.74%.
Whereas three of the sub-indices ,Banking, Development and Finance, related to Banking and Financial Institution inclined by 0.17%, 0.15% and 0.14% respectively. Under Banking today, increase in the 18 scirps among the 24 traded help to propel this sector. Whereas in Development , the incline in Nerude Laghubita Bikas Bank Limited , Diprox Development Bank, Chhimek Laghubitta Bikas Bank Limited by Rs 31, Rs 27, Rs 22 along with other 14 stocks aided in Development sector growth. The incline in Diprox Development Bank, closed at Rs 297, made it the highest gainer compare to rest of the scips traded. Other news related to this sector was, Excel Development Bank Ltd. proposed 30% Bonus Share and 10% Cash Dividend.
Similarly for the rest of the sectoral indices, Hotels sector added 0.57%, Other increased by 0.51% whereas Insurance sector decline by 1.46%. The lost in the Insurance came for the scrip of Nepal Life Insurance Co. Ltd., closed at Rs 1200, and Life Insurance Co. Nepal, closed at Rs 1191, as both the stock suffered loss of hefty amount i.e. Rs 69 and Rs 57 respectively making them the top two Losers for the day.
Overall there were 100 scrips traded among which 56 scrips increased, 13 remain intact and 31 scrips decreased. The highest share traded was of Nepal Bangladesh Bank Ltd. (NBBL), closed at Rs 163, with 19,725 units.
In terms of turnover, Chilime Hydro power Co. (CHCL) topped the category. Overall, 9,210 units worth Rs 10,569,552 via 75 transactions were done of CHCL; in which Broker no 6 (Agrawal Securities Pvt. Limited) was the most active broker with 57.45% stand alone dealing of CHCL , totaling 5,290 units worth Rs 6,072,780 via 17 transactions in which 9 were matching transaction of 3,022 units worth Rs 3,475,200.
The total turnover today was 63,371,217 which is comparatively Rs 21,679,060 or 25.49% lower than prior trading session. Overall 190,541 units of shares were traded via 1,328 transactions with the market capitalization of Rs 399,586.48 Millions.
