NEPSE CONTINUES TO RALLY

Continuing its bullish rally like that of prior trading day, the market today came to witness yet another hefty jump of 8.11 points. With today’s gain, the local bourse persists to sustain at 63 months high. The benchmark index today closed at 822.67 levels.
Insurance and Hydro today also continued to drive the market in positive direction. With the incline of 110.32 points or 4.03 percent in Insurance and 43.22 points or 2.09 percent in Hydro, the market got the strong base for today’s incline.
The massive incline in these sectors’ scrips back to back have made a signaling effect in other sectors’ shares too. The banking and financial institutions scrips, which were experiencing less volatility in prior trading days, have come to observe some upward transition in recent days.
The BFIs scrips today also propelled following the increase in hydro and insurance scrips. Among the three BFIs sub-indices scrips, Finance and Development shares witnessed heavy incline as both sector added 7.13 and 11.8 points respectively. While, banking sub-index made a gain of 2.63 points only.
As for Others, it also attributed to some extent in today’s market gain as it increased by 2.35 points. Meanwhile, Hotels suffered a loss of 17.98 points.
Altogether there were trade of 123 scrips, among which 84 scrips gained, 10 scrips remained intact and 29 scrips suffered loss.
The best performers among the traded scrips were Alliance Insurance Company Limited (AIC), closed at Rs 671, and Pacific Development Bank Limtied (PADBL), closed at Rs 352, with a gain of 10 percent i.e. Rs 61 and Rs 32 respectively. Whereas, Sewa Bikas Bank Limited (SEWA), closed at Rs 244, was the worst performer with loss of Rs 21 or 7.92 percent.
The company with the highest turnover in today’s session was Nepal Life Insurance Co. Ltd. (NLIC), closed at Rs 4527, with turnover of Rs 47,779,174, totaling 10,674 units which were traded through 31 transactions.
The Broker with the highest transaction of NLIC was Broker No 28 (Shree Krishna Securities Limited) with 55.75 percent standalone dealing, totaling 11,844 units worth Rs 53,277,788 via 12 transactions, which include five matching transactions tallying 5,000 units worth Rs 22,465,000.
The market turnover today stood at Rs 358,483,063, with total number of shares traded at 745,603 units which were traded through 2,317 transactions. The market capitalization at the end of the day stood at Rs 838,021.76 Millions.
