NEPSE CONTINUES TO FREEFALL

The market today also continued its freefall as the benchmark Nepse index plunged by 0.92 points to close at 487.53 levels. The every growing selling pressure in the market because of the nearing fiscal year end along with other factors like shortage of fund in the market, financial institutions halting their share loans and the political turmoil in the country are all accounted for the freefall in Nepse.
In the sub-groups, Hydro made the highest tumble of 3.45 points followed by Insurance and Others with 2.85 and 2.35 points loss respectively. Similarly, Banking stumbled by 0.71 points alongside Development with a 0.72 point decline. Trading made a jump of 3.28 points accompanied by Finance with 0.36 point gain. As for Manufacturing, it remained intact at 878.17 points.
Overall there were trades of 80 scrips among which 24 scrips increased 18 remained intact and 38 scrips decreased. The best performer for the day was, Alpine Development Bank Limited (ALDBL), closed at Rs 91, with Rs 8 or 9.64% gain. Among shares trading above par, Swarojgar Laghu Bitta Bikas Bank Ltd. (SLBBL), closed at Rs 184, was the top gainer with Rs 16 or 9.52% gain. Whereas, Salt Trading Corporation (STC), closed at Rs 209, was the worst performer with Rs 17 or 7.52% loss.
In case of the highest shares traded among mutual fund, Nabil Balance Fund 1 (NBF1), closed at Rs 10.02, topped with 268,589 units. In case of ordinary scrips, Commerz and Trust Bank Nepal Ltd. (CTBNL), closed at Rs 141, topped with 18,194 units.
In terms of turnover, Reliable Finance Co. Ltd Promoter Share (RIBSLP), closed at Rs 101, topped with 130,835 units worth Rs 13,214,335 via one transaction. Among ordinary shares, Chilime Hydro power Co. (CHCL), closed at Rs 1125, topped with 4,240 units worth Rs 4,769,842 via 42 transactions. The broker with the highest stand alone dealing of CHCL was Broker No 50 (Crystal Kanchanjungha Securities Pvt. Ltd.) with 24.82%; amounting Rs. 2,367,984 via 6 transactions of 2,112 units which includes 2 matching transactions totaling 962 units worth Rs 1,078,110.
Altogether there were trade of 566,766 units of share via 1082 transactions worth Rs 58,404,834; the market capitalization at the day stood at Rs 483,106.48 Millions.
