NEPSE Continues Downwards Spiral, All Sector Indices Close Red

The NEPSE index closed at 2,776.61 today after losing 38.45 points from yesterday's closing. This is a loss of 1.37% on the index. The index had shed a minimal 5.59 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,817.17 and made the intraday high at 2,819.01. While it went as low as 2,761.68, it ultimately closed at 2,776.61.

233 scrips traded hands via 61,004 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 9,358,700 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 4.313 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 5.395 Arba.

Api Power Company Limited (API) had the highest turnover of Rs. 16.77 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 512 per share. The units of the Laxmi Equity Fund (LEMF) were traded the most.

Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (WNLB) and Buddha Bhumi Nepal Hydropower Company Limited (BNHC) gained the highest 10% and hit the positive circuit breaker. Meanwhile, Pokhara Finance Ltd. (PFL) lost the highest 5.59%, hence closing at Rs. 556.

All 13 sector indices have closed red. "Finance" lost the highest 2.42%.
