NEPSE CONTINUED ITS RALLY

Following the yesterday near to double digit growth of 9.91 points, Nepal Stock Exchange continued its prior trend as it rallied by 4.36 points. Despite the country’s prevailing political turmoil, the jump in the market index in these two days has brought back some confidence into investors after the disappointing performance of the previous week. The growth of today has led to reconcile the benchmark index at 522.63 levels.

There were altogether trades of eight sectors; in which Trading sector only suffered the loss as it dropped by 2.95 points following the descent in the price of Bishal Bazar Co. Ltd. (BBCL )by Rs 35. Among others, Hotels made a jump of double digit i.e. 16.64 points; the rise in the price of Soaltee Hotel Ltd. (SHL) by Rs 10 mainly pushed the sector up.

Similarly, Banking sector made a increment of 6.11 points; the increase in Nepal Bank Limited (NBL), Everest Bank Ltd (EBL), Nepal Investment Bank Ltd. (NIB), Standard Chartered Bank Ltd. (SCB), Agriculture Development Bank Ltd (ADBL) and Nabil Bank Ltd. (NABIL) by double digits mainly uplifted the sector today. Whereas, Development and Finance surged by 1.07 and 0.73 points respectively.

Likewise, Hydro, following the soar in the value of Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited  (AHPC) and Chilime Hydro power Co.  (CHCL) by Rs 7 and Rs 6 respectively, made a climb of 3.74 points. Also, the incline in the price of Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (NTC) by Rs 3 boosted the Others sector by 3.53 points. As for Insurance, ascend in the price of National LifeInsu. Co. Ltd. (NLIC) by Rs 10 along with another 5 scrips pushed the sector further north by 1.01 points.

Overall there were only 82 scrips traded among which 44 scrips increased, 14 remain intact and 24 scrips decreased. The highest gainer for the day was, Siddhartha Investment Growth Scheme-1 (SIGS1), closed at Rs 12.10, with Rs 1 or 10% gain. Whereas, Manju Shree Financial Institution (MFIL), closed at Rs 128, was the highest loser with Rs 8 or 5.88%.

In terms of highest share traded and turnover, KIST Bank Limited (KIST), closed at Rs 143, topped with 57,610 units worth Rs 7,849,770 via 35 transactions; in which Broker no 6 (Agrawal Securities Pvt. Limited) was the most active Broker with 88.04% stand alone dealing of KIST, tallying, 51,000 units worth Rs 6,911,000 via 22 transactions which includes 14 matching deals totaling 39,800 units worth Rs 5,374,000.

The turnover for the day stood at Rs 68,353,094 which is comparatively Rs 13,532,975 or 24.68% higher than the prior trading day. Overall, 244,515 units of share were traded via 848 transactions with the market capitalization of Rs 503,490.98 Millions at the end of the day.
