NEPSE CONTINUED ITS RALLY

After seeing a two rallies within a time frame of one week, the investors’ sentiment seems to be in the constructive path once again as the market index today also continued to soar by 1.85 points following yesterday’s jump of 5.32 points. Though,the benchmark Nepse index till the half way past the session was dangling near to the prior day’s closing level, the increment in the Insurance sector mainly set the tune for the today’s enhancement; the local bourse closed at 490.58 levels.

The Insurance today also made a hefty gain of 17.32 points followed by Hydro with 11.34 points. Likewise all three of the Banking and Financial Institutions sub-indices settled in green zone as Banking added 1 points, Development ascended by 0.43 and Finance surged by 0.69 points. As for Other, it made gain of 1.18 points whereas Hotels tumble by 1.14 points. Similarly in other news, the share of Prudential Finance Company Limited with the symbol PFIL has been resumed from today after the successfully merger with Gorkha Finance Ltd.

Overall, there were only 74 scrip traded among which 51 scrip increased 4 remained intact and 19     scrip decreased. The highest gainer for the day was, National Hydro Power Co. (NHPC), closed at Rs 66, with Rs 6 or 10% gain. Whereas, Alpine Development Bank Limited (ALDBL), closed at Rs 85, was the highest loser with Rs 8 or 8.60% loss.  Among the scrip trading above the par, Siddhartha Insurance Limited (SIL), closed at Rs 178, was the highest gainer with Rs 9 or 5.14% gain whereas, Global IME Bank Limited (GBIME), closed at Rs 432, was the tope loser with Rs 15 or 3.36% loss.

In case of the highest shares traded among mutual fund, Nabil Balance Fund 1 (NBF1) , closed at Rs 11, topped with 51,514 units whereas among ordinary scrip above par, GBIME topped with 36,011 units. The GBIME also had the highest turnover, worth Rs 15,615,994 via 151 transactions; in which Broker no 16 (Primo Securities Pvt. Limited) was the most active Broker with 27.07% stand-alone dealing of GBIME, tallying 19,235 units worth Rs 8,454,456 via 7 transactions which includes one matching transactions totaling 9,000 units worth Rs 3,960,000.

Altogether there were trade of 266,934 units of share via 1,091 transactions worth Rs 68,035,640; the market capitalization at the day stood at Rs 482,160.95 Millions.
