Part 1: Rundown and Technical Analysis

This week, the NEPSE Index closed at 2,062.03 after losing 34.29 points (1.64%). The index closed at 2,096.32 last week, gaining 1.42% from the previous week.

This week, the index went as high as 2,108.73 and as low as 2,055.82 hence witnessing volatility of 52.91 points. The index had seen volatility of 53.61 points in the previous week.

The highest intraday loss was 30.57 points on Tuesday with a turnover of Rs 4.66 Arba, however, the total turnover stood at Rs 20.46 Arba this week.

 

 

Momentum Indicators

The RSI reading on the daily timeframe is 45.73. Meanwhile, the RSI reading on the weekly chart is 53.75.

On the other side, the MACD and Signal lines are both in the positive zone, moving towards the negative zone i.e., above zero with the MACD reading at 2.70.

Nepse Index is below both the 5-day and 20-day Moving Average making a dead cross pattern.

2,050 – 2030 zone may act as the nearest support whereas, the 2,180 zone will act as resistance.
