Part 1: Rundown and Technical Analysis

This week, the NEPSE Index closed at 2,067.01 after losing 17.08 points (0.82%). The index closed at 2,084.09 last week, losing 3.33% from the previous week.

This week, the index went as high as 2,131.27 and as low as 2,063.78 hence witnessing volatility of 67.49 points. The index had seen volatility of 92.15 points in the previous week.

The highest intraday loss was 30.92 points on Thursday with a turnover of Rs 4.18 Arba, however, the total turnover stood at Rs 23.42 Arba this week.

 

 

Momentum Indicators

The RSI reading on the daily timeframe is 47.80. Meanwhile, the RSI reading on the weekly chart is 54.77.

On the other side, the MACD and Signal lines are both in the positive zone, i.e., above zero with the MACD reading at 17.80.

Nepse Index is below its 5-day  and 20-day Moving Average. This is a bearish signal but requires further confirmation.

2,050 – 2030  zone may act as the nearest support whereas, the 2,250 zone will act as resistance.

The highest intraday loss was 30.92 points on Thursday with a turnover of Rs 4.18 Arba, however, the total turnover stood at Rs 23.42 Arba this week. Samaj Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SAMAJ) is the top gainer. SAMAJ closed at Rs. 582.90 with an Rs. 164.60 (39.35%) increment.
 

Top Ten Losers of the Week:

Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited's (AHPC) price has decreased by 25.61% and its LTP stands at Rs. 206.80. This is due to the 100% right share book closure happened of AHPC this week. RNLI price has also decreased due to the adjustment of 16% bonus share endorsed by the life insurance company.
