Part 1: Rundown and Technical Analysis

This week, NEPSE index closed at 1,852.77 after losing 5.76 points (0.31%). The index closed at 1,858.53 last week with a decline of 0.09% from the previous week.

This week, the index went as high as 1,861.62 and as low as 1,830.63 hence witnessing volatility of 30.99 points. The index had seen volatility of 74.72 points in the previous week.

The highest intraday gain was 11.73 points on Thursday with a turnover of Rs 2.79 Arba, however, the total turnover stood at Rs 7.64 Arba this week.

 

Momentum Indicators

The RSI reading on the daily timeframe is 44.31. Meanwhile, the RSI reading on the weekly chart is 39.90.

On the other side, the MACD line and Signal line both are in the negative zone, i.e. below zero but the signal line has crossed the MACD line and the MACD line is below the signal line in the daily timeframe with the MACD reading at -14.37.

Nepse Index is below both its 5-day Moving Average and its 20-day Moving Average. This is a bearish signal but requires further confirmation.

1,807 – 1,837 zone may act as the nearest support whereas, the 1,925 – 1,945 zone will act as resistance.
