NEPSE Concludes Last Trading Day Before Dashain With 23.19 Points Loss; Eleven of Thirteen Sectors Close Red

The NEPSE index closed at 2,639.37 today after losing 23.19 points from last trading day's closing. The index had lost 18.53 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,667.59 and created the intraday high at 2,669.51. While it went as low as 2,616.75, it ultimately closed at 2,639.37.

A total of 9,314,780 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 3.639 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 4.49 Arba. 219 scrips traded hands via 44,462 transactions.

Nabil Bank Limited (NABIL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 17.13 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 1,450 per share. The shares of Nepal Infrastructure Bank Limited (NIFRA) traded the most. NIFRA had unveiled its dividend revision notice today.

Global IME Samunnat Scheme 1 (GIMES1) gained the most 9.9%. GIMES1 proposed a 100% dividend today for the fiscal year 2077/78. This is the highest-ever dividend proposed by a mutual fund in NEPSE's history. Meanwhile, Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Limited (MLBL) lost the most 8.76%.

Only two sectors gained while all others closed red. Investment gained the most 1.07%. The sector "Others" lost the most 2.21%.
