NEPSE Comes Crashing Down Amidst Tussle Between Authorities and Dissatisfied Investors; All Sectors Witness Painful Plunge

The NEPSE index closed at 2,698.24 today after losing 114.02 points from last week's closing. The index had lost 76.25 points last Thursday.

The index opened at 2,817.98 and made the intraday high at 2,818.49. It then closed at the intraday low of 2,698.24.

A total of 17,330,538 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 8.493 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than last Thursday's turnover of Rs. 5.358 Arba. 225 scrips traded hands via 107,596 transactions.

Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited (AHPC) had the highest turnover of Rs. 40.65 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 601 per share. Its shares also traded the most.

Manakamana Smart Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MKLB) gained the most 9.99% while more than a dozen companies have hit the 10% negative circuit breakers.

All sectors have lost today. Finance lost the most 8.56%.
