NEPSE Closes With a Sharp Loss of 78.83 Points; NRIC Leads Turnover While Overall Volume Reaches Rs. 6.7 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing 78.83 points (3.05% ) to settle at 2,503.35. This follows a 22.59 -point loss in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2583.97 , touching an intraday high of 2,584.24, while the lowest point was 2,493.16. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 6.7 Arba, with 14,364,682 shares traded across 324 companies through 67,202 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 41.84 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 14.25 Kharba.

 

Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 38.07 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 1,181.10.

 

Nepal Micro Insurance Company Limited (NMIC) led the gainer's list with 6.01%.

 

 Meanwhile, Butwal Power Company Limited (BPCL) recorded the steepest drop, falling 9.27%.

 

Among sectors, the Hotels And Tourism Index registered the highest loss, losing 4.84%, while the Mutual Fund saw the least loss at 0.99%.
